The authors wish to note errors in the article entitled “Large‐scale prion protein genotyping in Canadian caribou populations and potential impact on chronic wasting disease susceptibility” which was published in Molecular Ecology (volume 29, Issue 20, pages 3830–3840; 2020).

In the original article, the 138SS Prnp genotype frequency mentioned in the Discussion section of the article “Our results show that the majority of the SK1 range caribou harbor the wild‐type 138SS Prnp genotype (97.5%), which is associated with susceptibility to…” is in fact 56.1% instead of 97.5%. However, this mistake was only in the text and all numbers in the tables and graphs are correct, and the conclusions of the paper are still valid.

This correction has been agreed by the co‐authors and has been communicated to the Molecular Ecology’s managing editor and editorial team. The authors apologize for the error and any inconvenience this may have caused the journal’s readers.
