The authors regret that the affiliation of Dr. Ronald Cedeño-Vega was not PAHO (Ecuador). Although he was hired as an epidemiologist by PAHO during the period described on our study, conducting research or writing articles was not considered among his duties by his contractor. So, following PAHO (Ecuador) request, his affiliation must be changed to One Health Research Group, Universidad de Las Américas, Quito, Ecuador.
