In May 2021, our original article “Evaluation of the Accuracy of Current Tubeless Pumps for Continuous Subcutaneous Insulin Infusion” by R. Ziegler, N. Oliver, D. Waldenmaier, J. Mende, C. Haug and G. Freckmann was published in Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics 2021;23(5):350−357.
At the basal rate of 0.1 U/h, three out of nine datasets of Accu-Chek Solo were swapped with unpublished data from another pump that is not the subject of the article. This error occurred in the independent laboratory that performed these experiments.
Using a corrected and valid dataset, we have recalculated the respective results and made appropriate changes to the text, tables, and figures of the article.
Accordingly, we updated the online version of our article to incorporate our corrections in the Abstract-Results section, Results-Basal Rate Accuracy, Results-Comparative Analysis, Discussion and Conclusion. Apart from the main text, we have corrected Table 2, Figure 2, Figure 5, Figure 6, Supplementary Table 2 , and a number in the caption of Table 1 which was incorrectly reported.
The authors apologize for this error and state that this does not change the scientific conclusions of the article significantly.
