Volume 20, no. 8, p. 2734–2742, 2000. The original description of the 7-amino-acid difference between BOPN and murine OPN was incorrect. After reexamination of sequence data, we have found that BOPN differs from murine OPN by 11 amino acids and that BOPN is identical to the reported Eta-1b allele of murine OPN (Mol. Immunol. 32:447–448, 1995). This mistake does not affect the other results reported in this paper, nor does it affect the conclusions of the article.
