Corrigendum to: The Effects of Vitamin D Supplementation and 25-Hydroxyvitamin D Levels on the Risk of Myocardial Infarction and Mortality”

PMCID: PMC8694516  PMID: 34988347

In the above-named article by Acharya P, Dalia T, Ranka S, Sethi P, Oni OA, Safarova MS, Parashara D, Gupta K, and Barua RS (J Endo Society 2021; 5 (10), doi: 10.1210/jendso/bvab124), there were typographical errors in the version initially published online.

In Results, Group A: was listed as <20 ng/mL; the correct value is ≤20 ng/mL. Group B was listed as 20-29 ng/mL; the correct value is 21-29 ng/mL. Group C was listed as >30 ng/mL; the correct value is ≥30ng/mL.

In the legends of Figure 1, Figure 2, and Figure 3, Group A was listed as <20 ng/mL; the correct value is ≤20 ng/mL. Group B was listed as 20-29 ng/mL; the correct value is 21-29 ng/mL.

In Figure 2 and Figure 3, numbers under “Number at risk” were given as: “untreated <20 ng/mL” and “untreated 20-29 ng/mL”: the correct values are ≤20 ng/mL and 21-29 ng/mL respectively.

In the Discussion section:

In the second paragraph, in the sentence “In our study, we found there was no difference in all-cause mortality among groups with (25-OH)D levels between 21 and 29 ng/mL and >30 ng/mL after treatment,” the correct value for “>30 ng/mL” is ≥30ng/mL.

In the third paragraph, in the sentence: “On the other hand, no significant difference in all- cause mortality was noted between the groups with (25- OH)D levels 20-29 ng/m and ≥30 ng/mL,” the correct value for “20-29 ng/m” is 21-29 ng/mL.

The errors have been corrected online. The corrections do not alter the conclusions of the study.
