The News From the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention article titled “Assessing a Veterinary Sedative’s Role in Drug Overdose Deaths,” published in the October 26, 2021, issue of JAMA,1 used imprecise language. It was also corrected for not indicating that xylazine has not been approved for human use. This article was corrected online.
