Corrigendum to ‘Unusual high number of spike protein mutations for the SARS-CoV-2 strains detected in Hong Kong’[Journal of Clinical Virology 148 (2022) 105081]

The authors regret to report an error in citing the accession number of Wuhan reference strain WIV04.

The sentence ‘There were 34 differences of the S protein when comparing with the Wuhan reference strain WIV04 (GenBank accession number MN996528) (Table 1).’ should be ‘There were 34 differences of the S protein when comparing with the Wuhan reference strain WIV04 (GISAID accession number EPI_ISL_402124, GenBank accession number MN996528) (Table 1).’
