The authors regret the misuse of images in Fig. 4 and Fig. S4.

  • 1.

The fluorescent image of living cell staining in Fig. 4A was wrongly used during the assembly of Fig. 4. We tracked down the original data obtained in June 2020, and have replaced Fig. 4A with the correct image as follow:

Image 1

Fig. 4. Cytotoxicity experiment of shell material in different ratios and weights. A) Calcein AM staining of cells. B, C and D) OD value of cells coculturing with 200 mg shell material, 100 mg shell material and 50 mg shell material. Cell death decreased with the concentration of alginate and the weight of shell material after 24 h coculturing. Scale bar is 20μm in (A).

  • 2.

The SEM images of 2nd and 4th row in 0% group of Fig. S4 was wrongly used during the assembly of Fig. S4. The correct figure is as follow:

Image 2

Fig. S4. Cross-section and surface of different ratios of PEGDA and alginate composed gel under SEM. A) The surface of gels with different ratios of alginate and PEGDA. B) The cross-section of gels with different ratios of alginate and PEGDA.
