Correction for Esko et al. “Metabolomic profiles as reliable biomarkers of dietary composition”. Am J Clin Nutr, 2017;105:547–54

In the Methods section, we transposed the words fat and protein when describing the dietary composition of test diets. The corrected excerpt should read as follows: “With regard to energy distribution, the low-fat diet (LF)11 had 60% carbohydrate, 20% fat, and 20% protein; the low—glycemic index diet (LGI) had 40% carbohydrate, 40% fat, and 20% protein; and the very—low carbohydrate diet (VLC) had 10% carbohydrate, 60% fat, and 30% protein”. The wording of the abstract is correct.

We apologize for this error.
