PMCID: PMC9053988  PMID: 35256402

CMAJ has been made aware of an omission in a Research article published Dec. 20, 2021.1

The competing interest statement should have mentioned that 1 author, Janelle Panday, has been employed as a freelance research coordinator by Avail Cannabis Clinics, a privately owned network of medical clinics, since May 2021, after her involvement in data collection for this study. She is compensated hourly for this work, which involves preparing and submitting ethics applications, and does not have any other financial interests related to Avail or its research. CMAJ thanks the study authors for reporting this omission as soon as they became aware of it.
