In the article, “Environmental Data and Survival Data of Deinococcus aetherius from the Exposure Facility of the Japan Experimental Module of the International Space Station Obtained by the Tanpopo Mission,” by Akihiko Yamagishi et al., published in Astrobiology, 2018, vol. 18, no. 11, pp 1369–1374, an author has been inadvertently missed.
An important author, Shin-ichi Yokobori, has been added as the third author after Yuko Kawaguchi to read:
Akihiko Yamagishi,1 Yuko Kawaguchi,1 Shin-ichi Yokobori,1 Hirofumi Hashimoto,2 Hajime Yano,2 Eiichi Imai,3 Satoshi Kodaira,4 Yukio Uchihori,4 and Kazumichi Nakagawa5
The error has occurred during the revision process of the manuscript. The biological experiment was not included in the first version and was added during the revision process, upon the request of a reviewer. We have added an author “Yuko Kawaguchi” who conducted the microbiological experiment, while we failed to add another author “Shin-ichi Yokobori” who has supervised the microbiological experiment.
We the authors, especially myself as the corresponding author, are responsible and sorry for the serious failure in the careful management of the authorship.
We are grateful to the Publisher for making this correction.
