High glucose and UA downregulated the expression of NPHS1 mRNA. Podocytes cultured for 7 d in NG or HG media were incubated for 24 h with 10 µM UA, and total RNA was isolated and analyzed by quantitative RT-PCR. Relative levels of NPHS1 mRNA expression were normalized to β-actin. Each experiment was performed in triplicate, and results are shown as mean ± SEM.
