Intestinal ischemia was induced in mice by SMA occlusion, followed by reperfusion and resuscitation. Blood was collected from mice 4 hours after intestinal reperfusion and administration of intraperitoneal H151 or vehicle. Serum (A) LDH (n = 8–9/group) and (B) AST (n = 8–9/group) were measured using specific colorimetric enzyme assays. Serum (C) IL-1β (n = 8–13/group) and (D) IL-6 (n = 6–7/group) were measured using ELISA. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM and compared by (A) Kruskal-Wallis test, (B-C) ANOVA and SNK tests, and (D) Brown-Forsythe and Welch ANOVA (*p < 0.05 vs sham, #p < 0.05 vs vehicle).
