In the article by Vinding et al, “Ischemic Stroke Severity and Mortality in Patients With and Without Atrial Fibrillation” which published online January 19, 2022 (J Am Heart Assoc. 2022;11:e022638. DOI: 10.1161/JAHA.121.022638) and was included in the February 15, 2022 issue of the journal, a correction was needed.
Due to a production error, the title of Figure 4 was a duplicate of the title of Figure 3. Instead of “Unadjusted cumulative incidences of mortality”, the legend to Figure 4 should read “Adjusted rates of mortality”. The remaining text of the legend to Figure 4 was correct, and the full legend now reads: “Figure 4. Adjusted rates of mortality. A, Adjusted rate of 30‐day mortality B, 1‐year mortality. All Cox models were adjusted for chronic obstructive lung disease, chronic kidney disease, liver disease, cancer, alcohol abuse, prior bleeding, dementia, and prior use of statins conditional on the matching. The lower forrest plots in Figure 4A and 4B depicts the models that are additionally adjusted for stroke severity. HR indicates hazard ratio; and ref, reference.”
The publisher regrets the error.
