Dear Editor
We read with interest the recent article in Clinical and Experimental Dermatology by Oh et al., 1 who reported a case of morphoea with a possible clinical link to the COVID‐19 vaccine. We agree with the authors that the COVID‐19 vaccine may cause clinical issues, and morphoea may have negative effects. However, we consider it unclear that the reported case is related to vaccination. It is challenging to draw conclusions from this paper because there was no prevaccination information on the vaccine recipient's immunological, skin or health status. The vaccine recipient may have morphoea as a comorbidity, which is occasionally overlooked and might be misinterpreted as a negative outcome of the vaccine. 2
