Instantaneous synaptic weight as a function of interspike interval. Interspike interval is calculated as time of post-synaptic spike minus time of pre-synaptic spike for the pair of spikes closest in time and prior to the weight change. Small positive ISIs are more likely to produce LTP, and negative ISI are more likely to produce LTD, though the weight change is quite variable. Results are shown for four different simulations.
