The original version of this article unfortunately contained the following errors. The authors would like to correct the errors with this erratum.

  • Table 1, Undetectable HIV viral load, n (%)

    Incorrect: 206 (75.5%)

    Correct: 226 (82.8%)

This correction relates to the authors’ decision to use a threshold of ≤ 50 copies/mL vs. 20 copies/mL to indicate a viral load that is undetectable. The interpretations of the results do not change.

  • Table 1, Explanatory footnote related to the measure of undetectable HIV viral load.

    Incorrect: ≤ 50 copies/L

    Correct: ≤ 50 copies/mL
