The following Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology article is being retracted:
Song P, Zhou Y, Coughlan KA, Dai X, Xu H, Viollet B, Zou MH. Adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase-α2 deficiency promotes vascular smooth muscle cell migration via S-phase kinase associated protein 2 upregulation and E-cadherin downregulation. Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol. 2013;33:2800–2809. doi: 10.1161/ATVBAHA.113.301869
The editors received a request from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center to retract the above referenced article due to data irregularities and image reuse in Figures 4 and 6 that affect the results and conclusions reported in the manuscript. Specifically, the following irregularities were found:
Lanes 4–6 of Figure 4A “GAPDH” blot lane spacing is inconsistent with lanes 1–3 of same blot and the authenticity of that blot related to the rest of the data in the figure could not be confirmed.
Figure 6D “E-cadherin” was duplicated with Online Figure 1B “HDAC3” blot.
The editors are retracting this article in agreement with the University of Oklahoma.
The authors do not agree to the retraction.
