In the article by Berman et al, “Translating Clinical Guidelines Into Care Delivery Innovation: The Importance of Rigorous Methods for Generating Evidence” which published online June 29, 2022 (J Am Heart Assoc. 2022;11:e026677. DOI: 10.1161/JAHA.122.026677) and was included in the July 5, 2022 issue of the journal, corrections were needed.
Regrettably, there were several errors introduced during the production process:
On page 2, in the 3rd paragraph, the sentence “However, those in the intervention group had higher rates of 1‐year major adverse cardiovascular events, driven primarily by repeated” has been corrected to read “However, those in the intervention group had higher rates of 1‐year major adverse cardiovascular events, driven primarily by repeated PCI”.
On page 2 in the 4th paragraph, the sentence “Although the increased rate of repeated is difficult to interpret, it is reassuring (and in line with P2Y12 clinical trial data) that subsequent myocardial infarction, stroke, and death were reduced in the intervention arm” has been corrected to read “Although the increased rate of repeated PCI is difficult to interpret, it is reassuring (and in line with P2Y12 clinical trial data) that subsequent myocardial infarction, stroke, and death were reduced in the intervention arm”.
On page 2, in the 6th paragraph, the sentence “Although a recent randomized controlled trial in Poland demonstrated a benefit of a multimodal telemedicine approach to preventing heart failure readmissions,14 it may lack generalizability to the US healthcare system and heart failure population with heart failure, especially considering the numerous similar studies in the United States that have produced negative results” has been corrected to read “Although a recent randomized controlled trial in Poland demonstrated a benefit of a multimodal telemedicine approach to preventing heart failure readmissions,14 it may lack generalizability to the US healthcare system and heart failure population, especially considering the numerous similar studies in the United States that have produced negative results”.
These errors have now been corrected.
The publisher regrets the errors.
