An error has been detected in the statistical code used to calculate the Morisky medication adherence measure questionnaire (MMAS) score in this paper by Blum and colleagues (BMJ 2021;374:n1585, doi:10.1136/bmj.n1585, published 13 July 2021). Some values in table 1 (including missing data) and table 5 have had to be revised, but the conclusions of the study remain unchanged. Supplementary eTable 7 has also been corrected and the supplementary file reuploaded.
