The authors of the above referenced editorial acknowledge that they incorrectly stated that the authors of the referenced related article below adjusted their analyses for baseline characteristics, but not for changes in risk factors. Schaeffner et al. (1) did indeed adjust for changes in risk factors as they adjusted for time-dependent variables, as stated in their article.
