A complaint previously filed by a physician in Turkey claimed that the treatment reported in this article was administered by himself, not by the authors, that the case report also plagiarized an abstract he reported in an international conference. The issue was investigated by the ethics committee of the Turkish Higher Education Council which ruled in 2014, that there was no ethical violations associated with the case.
After the recourse of the physician to Ankara 16th Administrative Court, the court decided on a stay of execution of the previous decision of the ethics committee of the Higher Educational Council.
