Abstract

The journal was notified of a potential image duplication in Fig 6A of the 2018 EMBO Molecular Medicine paper (DOI: 10.15252/emmm.201808931). We evaluated the presented claim and carried out our own analysis. Upon completion of our analysis, we informed the authors of our findings and invited a response.
The authors agree that a duplication had occurred in Fig 6A (+ADTBS panels) and Appendix Fig S5. This in turn also affected the quantification in Fig 6B. The authors state that the image chosen for the SH ADTBS example, as displayed on the left in Fig 6A, was mistakenly acquired from the same brain section as the image for the EE ADTBS section displayed on the right Fig 6A. The authors repeated the quantitative analysis (Fig 6B), but without including the cells from the duplicated image. The authors have provided all relevant source data for the figures in question, which is published together with this corrigendum.
The authors state that these changes do not affect the interpretation of the data or the conclusions of the study and apologize for this oversight and for any inconvenience it may have caused.
