PMCID: PMC9851685  PMID: 36700063

The article by Nguyen et al., that appeared in the August 2021 issue of Transplantation Direct, contained the following author errors:

The first sentence of the Materials and Methods section, “We studied 123 983 first-time adult KT-only recipients between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2016, as reported by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network and linked to Medicare claims data by the US Renal Data System (USRDS),” should have included the following reference:

U.S. Renal Data System. 2021 USRDS annual data report: Epidemiology of kidney disease in the United States. National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, Bethesda, MD, 2021.

The Acknowledgments should have appeared as follows:

The data reported here have been supplied by the United States Renal Data System (USRDS). The interpretation and reporting of these data are the responsibility of the author(s) and in no way should be seen as an official policy or interpretation of the U.S. Government.

In Table 1, the separate categories “Others” and “Not reported” under Recipient Race and Donor Race should have appeared as “Others or not reported.”
