Message From the New Editor-in-Chief

Hyun Kang 1,
PMCID: PMC9884551  PMID: 36761058

I am truly honored to serve as the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Lipid and Atherosclerosis (JLA). I am also incredibly proud to have the opportunity to collaborate with deputy editors and editorial board members, who were invited to represent the leaders in our field. This editorial team has been, and continuously will be, dedicated and devoted to the success of this remarkable journal.

JLA has made a remarkable progress, gained reputation, and enhanced its role as an international journal in the field of lipid metabolism, atherosclerosis, and cardiovascular diseases. This growth is largely due to the passion and vision of the previous Editor-in-Chief, Jae Taek Kim, and the editorial board. On behalf of the community, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Jae Taek Kim and the entire editorial board, whose dedication to the journal made this advancement possible.

Our key objectives for JLA in the upcoming year are to; firstly, increase its profile within this clinical and research community and solidify its status as the leading journal in this field, secondly, continue to look for and publish top-notch reviews and original articles, which provide the forefront of clinical and research information, thirdly, maintain the quality, standard and transparency of our editorial and review process, while speeding up the actual response time from submission to publication and the variance between each submission, and fourthly, strengthen the worldwide network in order to serve the demands of our society and scientific community.

In order to achieve these objectives, the JLA editorial team will actively participate in soliciting the most recent, intriguing research papers, communicate with members of Korean Society of Lipid and Atherosclerosis and leading opinion groups in this field.
