This article has been retracted at the request of the editors.

Concerns regarding data integrity, which were based on a PubPeer thread suspecting unusually structured flow cytometry plots and use of inaccurate primers in this article (https://pubpeer.com/publications/3125CAFC87D815D6A492AF7765A66B), were raised by the National Science Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The authors provided original data for review. During an investigation, the editorial office found that some of the primers do not target the reported genes. The original western blot images provided by the authors indicate editing of the blots. The text and figures of the article also show signs of template use, with marked similarities between this article and articles by unrelated authors, such as “Circ-TCF4.85 silencing inhibits cancer progression through microRNA-486-5p-targeted inhibition of ABCF2 in hepatocellular carcinoma” (Gao et al., 2020, Mol. Oncol. 14, 447–461, https://doi.org/10.1002/1878-0261.12603) and “Long noncoding RNA LINC01234 silencing exerts an anti-oncogenic effect in esophageal cancer cells through microRNA-193a-5p-mediated CCNE1 downregulation” (Ma et al., 2020, Cell Oncol. (Dordr.) 43, 377–394, https://doi.org/10.1007/s13402-019-00493-5). The editors believe that the findings of the manuscript cannot be relied upon.
