Example of 3D cell tracking for fate mapping which was done for all cells examined. (0.00-4.07) Scrolling through 2-photon tiff stack of 23 hpf living zebrafish eye. Cell membranes were labeled with CFP and two lens cells are labeled with cytoplasmic tomato-red, one in the anterior lens (1.00) and one in the posterior lens (3.00). (4.08-8.15) The two tomato-red cells were digitally space-filled for 3D orientation. (8.16-12.24) The lens and cornea were projected in 3D around the two space-filled cells. (12.25-17.16) The lens and cells were pseudocolored to differentiate individual cells.
