The distribution of 45 pairwise expression data points for selected genes that varied between the 45 adenocarcinoma replicates. The spread of the data points results in a correlation index that can be used to select genes that are variant between adenocarcinomas. We selected gene sets based on their correlation cutoffs (0.7, 0.75, 0.8, and 0.85). To avoid spurious correlation, measure 2–4 outliers in each dimension were removed from the calculation of correlation (marked in blue). The correlation index of expression is also indicated along with gene name at the top.
