The authors regret that estimates for risk of poor academic performance in mathematics (aRR 1.04 (95% CI 0.91–1.18) and language arts (1.00 (95% CI 0.87–1.15) in the abstract and results section were incorrectly stated. The correct estimates for risk of poor academic performance in mathematics is aRR of 1.03 (95% CI 0.97–1.10) & in language arts is aRR of 1.00 (0.93–1.08), as correctly listed in Figure 3. These corrections do not affect the overall results and findings of this paper.

The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
