Pseudomembranous colitis in a leukaemia unit: a report of five fatal cases.

Abstract

Five cases of clindamycin-associated pseudomembranous colitis in leukaemic patients are reported. These cases were all fatal, and it is suggested that the use of clindamycin in leukaemic patients should be reserved for specific indications.
