Overtubes (sleeves) for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Abstract

Overtubes are short sleeves designed to fit over the shaft of fibrescopes. Several home made overtubes have been described. We have reviewed design principles and many potential applications, which are not widely appreciated.
