Difference Between Manganese Ion Requirements of Pediococci and Enterococci

Abstract

For maximal turbidity and dissimilatory activity, three strains of pediococci required the addition of Mn2+ to Rogosa basal medium. Twenty-two strains of enterococci proved indifferent to this supplement.
